Verint has announced a new compliance recording integration with videoconferencing giant Zoom to help heavily regulated businesses capture, retain, analyze and retrieve communications from Zoom platforms.
Through the integration with Zoom, the Melville, N.Y.-based provider of customer engagement solutions will capture voice calling, video meetings and screen sharing data from Zoom Phone and Zoom Meetings.
According to Verint, the company’s native compliance recording integration with Zoom will help organizations leverage Zoom’s collaboration power while enabling compliance with regulations and international banking standards.
Verint already supports several communication channels, including unified communications, trading turrets, mobile and IP telephony platforms.
Traditional on-premise business phone systems were used to support compliance requirement in regulated markets, but cloud-based unified communication and collaboration systems such as Zoom are increasingly replacing those legacy systems, said John Bourne, senior vice president on global channels and alliances at Verint, in a statement.
“The new Verint Compliance Recording integration with Zoom now enables organizations in heavily regulated sectors to capture, archive, analyze and retrieve interactions in one platform,” Bourne says.
Gary Sorrentino, Zoom’s deputy CIO, said in a statement that the COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the adoption of mobile and unified communications, even for organizations that operate under stringent regulations.
“Verint’s integration with Zoom Phone and Zoom Meetings enables us to help businesses adopt the latest communication technologies while meeting strict regulatory demands,” Sorrentino said. “As the world is moving toward hybrid-working, allowing regulated users to communicate beyond traditional voice platforms is a must and increases the competitive advantage for regulated organizations.”
