What is a digital signage system without the pieces that make the system run? It’s easy to get carried away with the latest LED, 8K, HDR display screen. You can spend all day checking out the myriad lamp-in, lampless, short-throw projectors. However, if you don’t purchase the right components to go with them, all you’ll have is a box with a bunch of wires in it. (Speaking of, check out some of the best of those boxes in our slideshow of stand-out video solutions on the show floor).

On display at the show floor of Digital Signage Expo (DSE) 2019 were plenty of the stuff that makes the digital signage system run. From software platform content management systems (CMS), to racks for displays, video walls, and projectors, to cables, encoders, decoders, and switches.

We’ve got nine video interviews with nine manufacturers that provide the power behind the digital signage system you’ve been waiting to install. These providers can fill your needs for anything from the practical aspects of hanging and powering digital signage, to the creative aspects of creating, scheduling, and pushing out content. Check out our slideshow for interviews with:

  • Brightsign
  • Broadsign
  • Four Winds Interactive
  • Chief
  • Crimson AV
  • Draper
  • Premier Mounts
  • tvONE
  • Visix

For those that weren’t able to make it out to Las Vegas for the show, our slideshow will give you an idea of the latest technology available for digital signage systems. Note that some of the CMS technology today can provide analytics to help better understand the usage of the system, deliver content through the cloud, and provide remote access to users of the system. For racks, these manufactures have everything you need, including a video wall rack that can oscillate up to 359-degrees! As for the boxes in the rack – encoders, decoders, and switches are stronger than ever, and maybe it’s time for an upgrade at your organization.
