Data Stolen from Thousands of Hospital Employees
Cyberattackers compromised a data server operated by a private contractor in order to steal information on thousands of NHS medical professionals.
IT supplier Landauer, a private contractor, suffered a UK server breach that allowed the criminals to make off with names, dates of birth, radiation doses, and National Insurance numbers of staff who work with X-Rays.
654 current staff have been affected by the breach, while no patient information was compromised. Those affected are being kept updated and given guidance.
