Boston’s Faneuil Hall is a popular spot for city-dwellers and tourists alike to shop, eat, enjoy nightlife and catch a glimpse of some live street entertainment.

The tree at Faneuil Hall stands 90 feet tall, making it the tallest Christmas tree in the Northeast United States.

Spotted: a Technomad Berlin 15H outdoor stadium loudspeaker.

Spotted: a couple more Technomad loudspeakers, scattered throughout Faneuil Hall for a surround-sound effect.

The installation ended up being over 200,000 square feet of lighting and audio.

The lighting of the tree took place on Nov. 22, 2014 and the show will run until Jan. 4th, 2015.

The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree in New York City is a world-wide symbol of the holidays, but this year New York’s rival city of Boston outdoes the Big Apple with the largest Christmas tree in the northeast United States.

The tree, which stands 90 feet tall without even counting the star at the top, is the highlight and epicenter of Parker 3D’s latest lighting installation in Faneuil Hall, a popular shopping, restaurant and entertainment spot in Boston.

This is the second year in a row Parker 3D, an advanced video integration and lighting systems company, was brought in to perform Boston’s ‘Blink!’ holiday lighting installation at Faneuil Hall. The entire installation of lights and audio covers over 200,000 square feet and uses over 350,000 LED lights to illuminate the Boston skyline.

Parker 3D employed a Boston-based company, Technomad, to supply weatherproof loudspeakers for the project, including the Berlin 15H outdoor stadium loudspeaker. Over the past eight years of working with Technomad, Parker 3D has acquired over 70 Technomad loudspeakers and subwoofers for various themed installations in Massachusetts, Las Vegas, New York and Florida.

The annual tree lighting took place on Nov. 22, 2014. Nightly performances of the lighting and music show run every half hour each night until Jan. 4th, 2015.

During the show, lights dance to the music through every inch of Faneuil Hall. The light show is synchronized to a seven-minute song selection recorded by the Boston Pops, and loops continuously each evening.
