
Old: Tape and Analog Recording
It’s just about universal that there is some type of magic sound to analog recordings. It’s also just about universal that, because of the digital revolution, tape-based recording methods are cost prohibitive unless it is a major band footing the bill.
What’s interesting about analog tape is, because it was limiting, most musicians agree that it forces decisions to be made during the recording process that ultimately makes recordings better or more “human” when compared to the unlimited capabilities of digital audio.
