Communications and collaboration conference and trade show Enterprise Connect has announced new formats and dates for its 2021 shows, including a mix of virtual and hybrid events.
Enterprise Connect 2021, the main event typically held in the spring before the COVID-19 pandemic, will be held from Sept. 27-29 in Orlando, Fla. as a hybrid in-person and virtual event.
The announcement of the hybrid event comes as several U.S. drugmakers announce positive results of coronavirus vaccine trials. Officials have said they expect vaccination programs to begin within the next few months.
“Offering a hybrid of in-person and virtual attendance will let our customers select the format that works best for them, and will allow us to bring our outstanding, vendor-neutral content to all members of the enterprise communications industry, wherever they are the week of September 27,” said Eric Krapf, General Manager and Program Co-Chair of Enterprise Connect.
“We expect to continue offering this hybrid format beyond 2021, and are committed to providing a great conference and expo experience to our audience, both in person and online.”
In addition to the hybrid event, there will be a virtual event on March 9 and 10 called “Communication & Collaboration 2024” that will aim to help enterprises plan their technology strategy for the next three years after a year marked by rapid shifts in communication and collaboration technology.
Enterprise Connect will also host a series of three half-day virtual summits called “Connecting with Microsoft Teams.” Dates are Jan. 20, April 14 and June 9.
More information on these events will be available later this fall, including call for speakers, registration and sponsorship opportunities.
Earlier this year, the show was scheduled for the end of March, but was canceled along with dozens of other tech events as coronavirus cases began to pile up in parts of the U.S.
Instead, the show held some virtual keynotes and speaking sessions on those dates, and again in August on the original rescheduled date of the show.
