Microsoft is releasing new Viva apps and services designed to help companies address hybrid work and other issues, including new integrations for goal tracking, a new app for managers to solicit feedback and new features designed to help leaders connect with employees.
The new tools in Microsoft’s integrated employee experience platform designed for distributed work are designed to improve productivity and help hybrid teams stay connected.
Microsoft’s enhancements to Microsoft Viva includes new integrations in Viva Goals that bring goals into the flow of work, such as an enhanced Microsoft Teams app to check-in and collaborate on objectives and key results (OKRs) with the Teams activity feed, an extension in Azure DevOps to complete work items, a connection to Power BI datasets to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and key results, and integrations with Microsoft Planner and Microsoft Project for automatic project management updates.
The company is also introducing Viva Pulse, a new app that helps managers solicit regular and confidential feedback about their employees’ experience, within the flow of work in Teams. The app uses smart templates, research-backed questions and analytics to enable teams to help managers identify what is working well and where to focus. Viva Pulse also offers suggested learning and actions on relevant topics.
Microsoft is also adding onto Viva Engage with Leadership Corner, which the company calls a space for leaders to encourage open dialog and feedback across communities and teams through news, ask-me-anything events, surveys and more. Leaders can build, promote and launch the activities all from one place and us dashboards to track metrics and employee sentiment.
Another new tool coming to Microsoft Viva is Viva Amplify, a new app designed to empower employee communication teams and leaders to elevate their message and energize employees. It works by centralizing communication processes in a single space and offers writing guidance to help messages from different parts of an organization resonate with employees. Communications can be published to multiple channels simultaneously and managed from a canter hub.
To help employees get the answers to their questions, Microsoft tis launching Answers in Microsoft Viva, a new experience that matches employee questions to the right answers and experts across the organization to help address open questions and put collective knowledge to work. The tool uses intelligent features to surface similar questions that have been answered and recommends topics and experts.
Microsoft also announced the Oct. 3 general availability of Viva Sales, in addition to several new enhancements designed to deliver a more unified experience across Viva.
