Workday IBM

Workday and IBM are expanding the availability of a joint solution that can help organizations safely reopen the workplace via a set of products embedded with Watson and a planning, forecasting and modeling solution that can help offer insight into worker readiness.

The announcement builds on return-to-work offerings already offered by the companies, but this time include an integrated solution that combines artificial intelligence models and applications and solutions that can help evaluate worker sentiment to inform the organization on reopening strategies.

According to the companies, the integrated solution can help customers model site capacity and evaluate employees roles and eligibility for returning to work, assess community risk and workplace readiness, plan for critical supplies, evaluate worker sentiment to inform return to work demand; and provide site readiness and worker health and safety data to customers to inform return to work plans.

In a statement, Kshitij Dayal, general manager of planning products at Workday, said today’s human resource officers are now challenged with integrating real-time site and worker data in a way they’ve never had to before.

“Combining the power of Workday—including Workday Adaptive Planning to create comprehensive plans and models—with IBM Watson Works can help accelerate customers’ return to workplace planning with a sustainable solution to balance workforce and workplace supply and demand in the ever-changing world,” Dayal said.

“Keeping employees safe during the return to workplace process is of critical importance to business leaders across industries,” said Kareem Yusuf, general manager of AI applications at IBM’s Cloud and Cognitive Software unit. “By partnering with Workday on a joint solution, we’re extending the capabilities delivered by Watson Works to help customers gain greater agility to respond to ever-changing working conditions and evolving business needs. Together we are helping organizations overcome the complexities involved in continuous planning to ultimately improve workplace readiness.”
