Microsoft has released two highly requested Windows 365 Enterprise features this month: Azure AD Join support and first-run localized experiences.

The company says it has been listening to feedback from IT pros about its cloud PC offering, rolled out in August 2021, and has released the two top requested features into public preview.

According to the company, Azure AD Join support for Windows 365 has been “by far the most requested feature” since the cloud PC solution reached general availability. With Azure AD Join as a Cloud PC join type option, organizations no longer need existing Azure infrastructure or a subscription to provision cloud PCs for users—just Azure AD users.

Microsoft calls it a “huge investment” across the company.

To use this feature in Microsoft Endpoint manager, admins can create a provisioning policy by selecting Microsoft Hosted Network and the desired region.

Admins also have the option of bringing their own Azure virtual network by creating a new Azure Join network connection and selecting their network from the drop-down menu during provisioning.

After that, the provisioning workflow is like normal, Microsoft says.

The company also released localized first-run experience for the cloud PC offering designed to make configuration easy and available at first login.

This allows admins to configure a language and region pack to be installed on the cloud PC during provisioning, bypassing a lengthy manual process of installing language packs onto a custom image and instead configure language settings in a gallery image.

New regions of U.S. Central and Germany West Central are also now available.

Organizations using Windows 365 Business that want this feature are encouraged to give feedback at https://aka.ms/w365feedback.

Microsoft encourages customers to digest further resources on these features, including monthly AMA events on the fourth Wednesday of each month.
