Digital identity platform ForgeRock is launching ForgeRock Enterprise Connect Passwordless, a new passwordless authentication solution designed to eliminates the need for users to interact with passwords inside large organizations.
The San Francisco, Calif-based firm says the new solution is a product of the company’s partnership with Israeli passwordless solutions provider Secret Double Octopus and protects the most commonly used and vulnerable enterprise resources, including servers, workstations, remote desktops and VPNs.
ForgeRock Enterprise Connect Passwordless will be integrated into the ForgeRock Identity Platform, giving large enterprises the ability to proactively defend against credential-based attacks by providing a passwordless experience to legacy applications, systems and services, the company says.
The company’s passwordless solution is also billed as an employee experience tool, eliminating the need to remember passwords when accessing resources.
According to ForgeRock, Enterprise Connect Passwordless will essentially remove employee interaction with passwords and help eliminate employee account lockouts and IT ticket volumes, which can in turn lower helpdesk costs and free up IT professionals to do more impactful work.
The ForgeRock Enterprise Connect Passwordless solution, expected to be available in the second quarter, uses next generation identity orchestration capabilities that allow enterprises to design and implement passwordless login and access journeys tailored to their security and experience needs, allowing organizations to move to passwordless at their own pace.
ForgeRock also markets its new passwordless solution as an easy-to-deploy tool that can help take the load off of programmers and IT teams.
