BTX Technologies recently announced it will distribute the full line of Dataprobe iBoot remote power control products. Dataprobe iBoot is available for A/C, D/C and PoE systems as an expandable single outlet power controller or as 4 and 8 outlet power distribution units (PDUs).
“When AV/IT equipment goes down, there are few choices,” says BTX president and CEO Greg Schwartz in a press release announcing the agreement. “You can ask the end user to reboot it, roll a truck, or point, click and reboot anytime and anywhere using the iBoot interface.”
“Our integration customers have worked hard to grow the recurring service and maintenance end of their businesses. Controlling the cost of administering service and maintenance is key and the ability to remotely reboot equipment is an important element in containing that cost.”
“We are excited to be able to offer the iBoot products as the perfect companion product to our collaboration devices, signage players, video over IP equipment, video wall controllers, capture/streaming appliances and more,” he says.
Dataprobe president David Weiss is excited about the partnership.
“BTX’s unique experience with AV/IP solutions makes them the perfect distributor for iBoot products,” he says in the joint announcement. “Their technical knowledge, award-winning outside sales team and relationship with integrators will get Dataprobe iBoot more visibility and, in turn, installed in a wider variety of projects.”
BTX recently celebrated its 50th anniversary and continues to add new capabilities and functionality to its BookIT room scheduling system.
“It’s a whole different world from when this company started 50 years ago,” says Schwartz. “A tremendous amount has changed. Fifty years is a monumental milestone, not one that a lot of companies reach. You have to have the right vendors, client feedback and products to do that.”
