The Cell Atlas
Within the next five years, scientist will construct the first comprehensive map of human cells. This will give us insight into how humans are made that we’ve never had before. With over 37 trillion cells in the human body, it’s not simple undertaking. However, scientists from the U.S., U.K., Sweden, Israel, the Netherlands, and Japan will assign a molecular signature and also give each type a zip code.
