Microsoft and Honeywell have announced a partnership that combines Honeywell’s applications with Microsoft’s cloud platform for industrial customers.
Specifically, the partnership is an integration of the AI-driven autonomous controls of the Honeywell Forge enterprise performance management software with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service. This is designed to give customers access to operating data like workflow management support to improve performance and energy efficiency, the company said in a joint release.
The goal is to give field workers access to real-time data to help them solve problems more efficiently.
The companies first plan to focus on automating maintenance for building owners and operators to help them make better diagnose issues and assign the right people to the job.
In a statement, Que Dallara, president and CEO of Honeywell Connected Enterprise, said he partnership will bring new value to customers and help them digitize their operations.

“Working with Microsoft, Honeywell will bring solutions at scale – powered by AI-driven insights and immediate access to data – that will help our customers work more efficiently than ever before,” Dallara said.
Honeywell Forge, the company’s enterprise management performance software, helps companies save money by improving energy efficiency by catching potential maintenance issues before they manifest.
Meanwhile, Dynamics 365 gives companies the tools they need to remotely detect and address issues by analyzing IoT data along with AI-infused IoT alerts and work orders.
With the help of Microsoft’s cloud, Honeywell can quickly bring new offerings to the market to help customers meet security, privacy and compliance requirements.
