Business communications and IT management software company GoTo is acquiring cloud-based device management firm Miradore to add new mobile device management capabilities to the GoTo Resolve IT support platform.
According to Boston-based GoTo, the move reinforces the company’s vision as a one-stop-shop for IT management needs for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), with Miradore’s purpose-built mobile device management (MDM) cloud solution for SMBs.
The Miradore platform, acquired from Nordic technology investor Standout Capital and other shareholders, allows IT teams to manage end users across iOS, Android, Windows and MacOS. Miradore will be integrated into the GoTo Resolve IT support and management product after the deal closes early next year, according to GoTo’s announcement.
In addition to a mobile and MacOS device management platform, the acquisiton brings GoTo more than 2,700 customers and MSP distributors and more than 89,000 user accounts cross 180 countries, according to GoTo.
When fully integrated, IT teams leveraging the GoTo Resolve platform will have the ability to manage all commonly used mobile devices and operating systems from a single vendor and application, including device lockdown and control capabilities.
The acquisition helps GoTo build GoTo Resolve into an all-in-one IT management and support solution for SMBs, following the company’s release of several new features to the platform, including a background file manager, remote terminal access, multi-agent collaboration, antivirus software and management, patch management and alerting.
