Long gone are the days when a janitor would walk around with a large circular split key ring with a thousand different keys dangling from a hook in his belt. In times past a key was necessary to get into your building, a different one was used for your office, and a third was needed to get into your filing cabinet and get to work. While keys are still used for many personal locks, even cars today don’t require a key to start.
