Endangered: Whiteboards

A whiteboard is a large surface for users to write upon. They use dry-erase markers which, while seemingly permanent, can be swiped away with particular pieces of cloth. This helped to curtail the miles of wasted paper that resulted from the lack of internet.

Likely seen as magic from the primitive employees of the time, it’s easy to see why whiteboards are still prevalent in many offices today. However, it is believed this has much to do with nostalgia, similar to the way many parents still buy board games for children when video game consoles exist.
