“Through our software and student ambassador program, we’re aggregating all of the content on campus from social media to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and flyers, and all the videos students and administrators are playing,” Shenoy says. “We pull it to one location, we curate it for appropriateness and then automatically distribute it to exist in digital signage, cable T.V. and via the website…We’re able to demonstrate we’re driving engagement while reducing the administrative responsibility to managing content.”
4) Students get a bigger voice
By utilizing OrcaTV, UNH has been able to better establish its network, and give students another outlet through which they can express themselves.
Shenoy says the content displayed from OrcaTV’s process will drive students to action based on what they see.
“For example, if you’re the president of the intermural sports on campus, it’s one thing to get your message everywhere, it’s another to incentivize students to act on it,” he says. “I think that’s the next step, content consumption to content action. That continues to push the needle of driving student success and student engagement.”
