Yamaha Unified Communications will be participating in the Higher Education Technology Managers Association (HETMA) 2023 Virtual Conference, hosting a 60-mionute session on the company’s conferencing and communication offerings for higher education institutions.
According to the Sudbury, Mass.-based manufacturer of unified communications solutions, Field Systems Engineer Daniel Kleman and Director of Strategic Partnerships Michelle Baeza will present an overview of the company’s higher education communication offerings and answer solution-specific questions regarding AV integration and configurating in classroom environments.
HETMA is a nonprofit advocacy group focused on the higher education audiovisual industry with the goal of raising awareness of technology issues unique to the higher education community. The group works with manufacturers, vendors and higher education administrators on the needs and challenges that technology managers face, according to HETMA’s website.
The Virtual Conference, titled “Now What?”, will take place on February 24. According to HETMA, this is the group’s signature event that brings together thought leaders for custom-tailed sessions on higher education audiovisual and communication technologies. Registration is free.
HETMA’s signature event will include sessions on “Now What for Technology and People”, “Now What for Instructional Design” and “Now What for DEI and Hiring Best Practices.” Breakout sessions will focus on the change in control systems, immersive technology, student worker training, work from home, and other pertinent topics.
According to Yahama Unified Communications, Kleman will join the webinar from a local university classroom using an installed Yamaha Ceiling Microphone, the RM-CG, featured in Yamaha’s ADECIA Ceiling Solution. Designed with auto-tuning, echo cancellation, and four dynamic beams for accurate voice and camera tracking, the Zoom- and Microsoft Teams-Certified ADECIA Ceiling Solution brings Yamaha’s signature audio quality to the classroom.
“This is our inaugural event with HETMA, and we’re thrilled to be aligning with them,” says Baeza. “We look forward to future opportunities to collaborate with such an influential organization.”
