Year after year, more workers are setting up shop at home. According to multiple surveys, remote work options are a key component of job satisfaction; nearly half of all workers work from home at least once a week, and a third of all workers work from home nearly 100% of the time. However, one event requires a remote worker to enter the office, at least virtually, several times a month: meetings.
Sometimes, these meetings will require a worker’s physical attendance. Other times, workers can make do with a WebEx or other video conferencing device.
Interestingly, meetings that require two or three people tend to utilize web conferences. Once the number of attendees goes above three, an in-person meeting is preferred.
In both cases, dynamic AV technology solutions are a must, as it ensures effective communications. Without effective AV, your company will run into a slew of problems that negatively impact time, revenue, and productivity.
It’s a time thing
If a web conference glitches, both parties will waste time trying to fix the issue. And when an in-person meeting includes dozens or hundreds of people, good audiovisual is essential to ensuring all speakers can be heard and seen.
In cases where most people are meeting in-person and one or two listen in via web conferencing, good AV technology solutions ensure that all attendees remain on the same page—if a web conference suddenly stops working, remote workers might miss important company updates.

They’ll need the speaker to repeat this information, which means wasting other attendees’ time or wasting their own time scheduling a separate meeting. In both cases, poor AV leads to frustration, poor time implementation, and repetition.
It’s also a smoothness thing
Face-to-face meetings aren’t always possible. And in the event that they can’t be scheduled, it’s crucial that you have another option for communicating.
Additionally, when face-to-face meetings are doable, it’s equally important that you not waste your attendees’ time.
Why should a remote worker come in for a meeting if that meeting experiences tech issues? And why would any worker continue using AV if it only impedes their workday?
While bad AV can negatively affect your workday, dynamic AV technology solutions can be a boon for businesses. It’s simply a matter of correctly installing and using your tools, which often means having a partner to help you.
Working with an MSP will allow your company to avoid most AV issues and quickly solve the ones you come across. Both in-person and remote meetings will run smoothly, allowing for a happier workforce, more productivity, and better communications overall.
