InfoComm 2017 has come and gone, but the products that were showcased will have a lasting impact on the AV industry. From hardware to software, systems to platforms, solutions to devices to accessories and more, companies at InfoComm 2017 featured their latest and greatest products at the show. One of the main focuses, it seems, was on collaboration.

Collaboration can mean a lot of things in 2017. It’s been quite some time since it was simply two people sitting in a room working on the same problem. They don’t even have to be in the same country to collaborate any longer.

Perhaps your form of collaboration is using a device to connect to a display and share content with those in the room. Maybe your idea of collaboration is connecting through a videoconferencing suite for a facsimile of being in the same space as your team. It could be that collaboration at your organization means working on dynamic content in real time from different areas all over the world through a complicated AV system.

In reality, collaboration is all of the above. It’s presentation, conferencing, and connecting. It can still be as simple as two people in the same room, writing ideas down on an interactive whiteboard, saving their work, and sending it to key members to review when finished. It can get as complicated as several teams in different spaces around the country annotating a shared document, with that annotation showing up in real time on each screen. Whatever your method, the products coming out of InfoComm 2017 will help you accomplish collaboration better than ever before.

Collaboration is the fuel of any business, whether it is between employees, partners or customers. It is a driving force for continued efficiency among everyday tasks and a necessity for improving the outcomes of many business activities. Hence, tools like webex, R-HUB web video conferencing servers, gomeetnow, gotomeeting etc. are widely used across organizations to effectively collaborate online.
