Enterprise Connect 2018 has come and gone, and this year’s show did not disappoint when it came to solutions for unified communications. Keynotes from companies like Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, Cisco and more highlighted the event. Sessions were held from leading subject matter experts. Workshops and more taught attendees everything from cybersecurity for unified communications solutions to working communications APIs into a UC platform.
There’s far too much information coming out of the show to cover in one post. We’ll be publishing updates about the marquee keynote addresses in the coming weeks. You’ll find out about the general direction of unified communications and the specifics of what is happening with some of the biggest and most utilized UC offerings on the market today.
For now, we want to focus on the tradeshow floor. Companies like Microsoft and Amazon are huge draws, but what keeps people coming back to Enterprise Connect year after year is the breadth of products offered by companies around the world.
One of the main themes of this year’s Enterprise Connect was interoperability. Some of the largest manufacturers and vendors are recognizing that the Unified Communications landscape in any organization is rarely formed by a single entity. Companies have an entire ecosystem of products from country to country, state to state, office to office, and even within different departments in the same organization. Different people prefer different solutions, and in order to make things work for IT staff, vendors are opening up to the competition.
With that said, let’s take a look at all kinds of solutions on the tradeshow floor. TechDecisions has compiled a list of twenty-two solutions that you should know about coming out of Enterprise Connect. Ranging everywhere from communications software to headsets for your staff to use with them, these products, platforms, software, and solutions will help your organization communicate more effectively.
