Each week, TechDecisions chooses a project to highlight as our Project of the Week. We post the story on our front page, promote it on our social media, and send it out in a dedicated newsletter to our entire audience. The projects span industries from enterprise to healthcare to education, and focus on commercial technology projects from inception to implementation.
In every Project of the Week you’ll find information to help technology managers and end users understand how the project came to be.
First, you’ll learn how the decision to implement new technology came about. How did the organization decided it needed new or upgraded technology? Why was it so important? What did they hope to get out of the technology? How involved were they in the design of the system, and what was it like working with the installer?
Next, you’ll learn about the technology solution itself. How and why did the installer decide on the components they chose? How did the design process go? How did the installation process go? The intricacies of the solution are explained, with details about how the technology fills the end user’s needs.
Finally, you’ll learn about the impact of the solution. How is the organization using the new technology? How has it changed the way they work or operate? How has it affected the bottom line of the business? You’ll find out if the end user was happy with the design and why.
While every project is special, some stand out among the rest for their innovation, their ability to help end users, the difficulty of the project, or their unique system designs. With the end of the year weeks away, we’ve compiled twelve of our favorite Projects of the Week from 2017.
