In this episode of My TechDecisions Podcast, Associate Editor Zachary Comeau talks to AVANT Communications senior partner manager Samantha Carfagnini and Stratosphere Networks enterprise technology advisor Kendra Karczewski about helping to transform a Chicago convention center into a makeshift hospital to treat coronavirus patients.
The Chicago-based IT firms partnered with several other technology vendors to help transform the McCormick Place Convention Center into the McCormick Place Alternate care Facility.
In two weeks, the hospital’s entire IT and telecom network was designed and implemented, with the firms working to staff around-the-clock IT engineers on site to collaborate with remote engineers and project managers.
Other IT partners involved in the project include Evolve IP, Ignyte, RapidScale, Spectrotel, Synoptek and Trustwave.
This is just another example of how technology we use every day is helping us fight COVID-19 and keep organization’s online.
