Salesforce is teaming up with CVS Heath to help organizations return to work safely and responsibly amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The companies on Monday announced a strategic partnership that will allow customers to use each company’s COVID-19 return solutions for both office campuses and educational campuses.
The offering combines Salesforce’s Work.com workplace management suite and CVS Health’s testing solution Return Ready.
Salesforce’s Work.com, launched in May, includes a new family of technology solutions that help businesses and communities safely reopen and return to normal. Work.com includes employees wellness assessment, shift management, contact tracing, emergency response management and volunteer management.
ReturnReady, meanwhile, is a COVID-19 testing program that gives organizations flexible options like licensed professional testing at the workplace to testing at a CVS Pharmacy drive-thru testing location.
The partnership essentially creates a centralized place for an organization’s entire COVID-19 response.

Virus rest results sponsored by an organization would be shared with that organization by CVS Health with authorized by the patient, and positive tests would be sent to state and federal officials. Organization’s can view that data securely in Work.com to manage risk and assess the location’s safety.
When someone tests positive, Salesforce’s manual contact tracing solution can help organizations notify those who may have been exposed. Those exposed are notified and given information about testing, either onsite or at a CVS drive-thru location.
“While COVID-19 testing is an important tool to responsibly reopen worksite and campus locations, a comprehensive strategy requires wellness monitoring and contact tracing to help prevent an onsite outbreak and spread of the virus,” said Troyen Brennan, M.D., M.P.H., Chief Medical Officer of CVS Health, in a statement.
“While there are a lot of COVID-19 tools hitting the market, the Work.com capabilities use the latest science and technology, and we believe together, with our Return Readytesting solution and clinical protocols, we can help our customers activate a comprehensive plan to return and maintain critical populations onsite.”
