- Implemented a virtual escort program to keep students safe while walking home. Implementation freed up campus officers for more foot patrols.

- Fostered improved relationships with leaders of all seven institutions within the consortium as well as with local law enforcement.
- Launched a student assistant program to help the department with administrative functions, including vehicle and bike registrations, special event and community outreach support, and safe escorts for students.
- Became Legislative Activities Chair for the California College & University Police Chiefs Association (CCUPCA) and helped develop public policy and anti-crime measures that were passed by the California legislature and signed into law by the governor.

- Restructured the general employee orientation, updated the department website so it’s more user friendly and built a Facebook and Twitter page for the department.
- Began sending all security officers to the Homeland Security Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) with the goal of having all UNC officers trained in the basic healthcare incident command and response through the CDP by January 2017.
