WannaCry Ransomware Hits 200,000 PCs in 150 Countries
Unless you’ve been living under a rock this past week you’ve heard of the WannaCry ransomware attack. The attack affected over 200,000 victims across 150 countries, including 10,000 organizations such as Britain’s National Health Service.
The attack was stopped when a 22-year old security researcher bought a domain name connected to the attack. However, a second version has already started making the rounds. The ransomware is locking computers and demanding $300 in Bitcoins as ransom.
