Hadoop Insecurities Expose 5,000 Terabytes of Data
Hackers have turned to targeting unprotected databases, and Hadoop looks to be the next target.
Nearly 4,500 servers with Hadoop Distributed File System were found exposing more than 5,000 Terabytes of data. The exposure is due to HDFS-based servers not being properly configured.
HDFS is primarily used for managing large clusters of data and supporting big data analytics.
