Self-Service Food Kiosk Vendor Hacked
Avanti Markets, a self-service food payment kiosk company, has suffered a breach of its internal network.
Hackers were able to send malware throughout payment devices. The breach may have jeopardized credit card accounts and biometric data (the kiosks have a biometric verification option in the form of a fingerprint scanner), according to Avanti. The malware was designed to gather information including cardholder names, card numbers, and expiration dates.
