Indian Company Denies Breach of 120 Million Customers
In what would be the largest breach of personal data in Indian history, 120 million customers of Reliance Jio have had personal data leaked on the internet. Reliance Jio set up a 4G network in September of 2016 and offered seven months of free internet, unlimited calls, and unlimited music to subscribers.
However, the company is claiming that the leaks are unverified and unauthentic. The company has informed law enforcement about the claims and is investigating, however it is assuring subscribers that their data is safe and maintained.
Researchers, however, claim the leak is authentic.
