9 Password Manager Apps for Android Found Insecure
It turns out your password manager app may not be as secure as you think.
Security team TeamSIK of the Fraunhofer Institute for Secure Information Technology in Germany analyzed nine password manager apps for android with between 100,000 and 50 million downloads.
The team found flaws in each of the apps: LastPass, Keeper, 1Password, My Passwords, Dashlane Password Manager, Informaticore’s Password Manager, F-Secure KEY, Keepsafe, and Avast Passwords. The flaws range from potential vulnerability to storing master password in plain text or exposed encryption keys in the code.
