Smartphones and gadgets running iOS and Android from multiple manufacturers are vulnerable to over-the-air hijacking.
If the device has a Broadcom Wi-Fi chip, then an attacker within the same Wi-Fi network could remotely execute malicious code on the Broadcom Wi-Fi SoC.
The vulnerability, described as the stack buffer overflow issue, affects all devices using Broadcom’s Wi-Fi stack.
