Remote access, control and monitoring provider TeamViewer is adding onto its partnership with assisted reality wearable solution provider RealWear with a new integration into the RealWear Cloud designed to assist frontline industrial workers.
The TeamViewer software will be delivered as RealWear Cloud Assistance, an embedded service in RealWear Cloud that provides real-time technical support and collaboration that allows a subscriber’s IT and business operations professionals to remotely setup, configure and analyze a fleet of RealWear devices.
This is designed to enable subscribers to accelerate the time-to-production and troubleshooting for RealWear devices, the companies say.
Customers can, through RealWear Cloud provision and manage their fleet of devices for their company, and with remote support capability, organizations can deliver the same experience as physical support on the ground.
In a statement, Alfredo Patron, executive vice president of business development at TeamViewer, calls the integration a “great milestone.” The company had already deployed its enterprise augmented reality software, Frontline, on thousands of RealWear devices at organizations around the world.
“With the new integration of our remote connectivity capabilities into its cloud platform services, RealWear can offer its customers a new level of remote support for the devices themselves,” Patron said. “This integration reinforces TeamViewer‘s position as the de facto standard for remote access to both IT and non-IT devices in industrial environments.”
Enabling IT to quickly and securely access remote devices will enhance deployments of RealWear devices and keep frontline workers productive and safe, RealWear Chief Product Officer Rama Oruganti said in a statement.
“With the release of RealWear Cloud Assistance, we’re excited about the continued growth and evolution of our partnership with TeamViewer to advance our mission to engage, empower and elevate frontline workers,” Oruganti said.
