Network performance management firm LiveAction has released a new version of its packet capture and analysis solution LiveCapture, which the company says can handle traffic from enterprise networks as fast as 100G with forensic capture rates of up to 40 Gps.
LiveAction says the new version, 3100 v13.1, is designed to be deployed across data centers, network operations centers and WAN links, bringing speed and efficiency when it comes to analyzing traffic and troubleshooting for application-level issues within enterprise networks.
In a statement, vice president of engineering Vishwas Puttasubbappa said the latest updates include powerful network recording capabilities for capturing massive traffic loads, enabling customers to conduct real-time analysis and forensic examination into live traffic for network monitoring and troubleshooting.

“No other solution on the market is capable of capturing and analyzing traffic across the most demanding enterprise networks with this level of simplicity and efficiency,” Puttasubbappa said.
LiveCapture comes as a single compact appliance with a single additional storage unit to help customers save valuable rack space, save on power and mitigate heat and noise.
Network speeds are continuing to grow rapidly, and companies need packet capture and analysis solutions that can keep up. As such, faster capture rates are required for troubleshooting and ensuring monitoring software doesn’t miss anomalies.
With LiveCapture, organizations can capture critical packet data and streamline real-time analysis and historic playback for forensic analysis, allowing users to analyze data two to five times faster.
In the company’s press release, LiveAction says other solutions require customers to combine multiple products to provide this level of performance.
