Zero trust edge cloud security provider iboss has released its new Zero Trust Policy Manager designed to enable organizations of all sizes to implement zero trust policies in their IT environment.
The Boston-based company’s Zero Trust Policy Manager (ZTPM) helps organizations implement zero trust in accordance with the new federal guidelines from the National Institute of Standards and Technology on zero trust architecture.
According to the company, the new solution makes it easy to apply cutting-edge security to data and resources while complying with federal standards, including FIPS 199, a key component of cyber risk assessment for federal agencies to assess and categorize their resources for confidentiality, integrity and availability.
By leveraging ZTPM, organizations can apply iboss’ Zero Trust Edge cloud security to resources that have been labeled based on FIPS 199 standards. Resources will automatically become compliant with the new Zero Trust architecture defined in the new federal NIST 800-207 guidelines, without administrator action, the company says.
In addition, the company announced two new capabilities, including Policy Tracing, a new feature that enables organizations to test a new user or group access policy prior to implementation in production. It also allows organizations to debug access issues.
iboss is also launching Cloud Health Dashboard, a new feature that give organizations a detailed view into the health of their policy enforcement points and reporting nodes. The dashboard provides user-friendly health scores that enable admins to determine the load and overall health of the cloud service, the company says.
Paul Martini, co-founder and CEO of iboss, said in a statement that the company is shifting the focus from protecting the network to protecting resources.
“Our Zero Trust Edge platform is purpose-built to prevent breaches by making applications, data and services accessible only to trusted, verified users, allowing them to securely and directly connect to protected resources from anywhere,” Martini said. “We’re proud of our platform’s new Policy Manager which makes it easy for organizations to ensure their resources are both FIPS 199 and NIST 800-207 compliant – which is more important than ever in today’s volatile cyber security environment.”
