The Platinum Tools InfoComm 2018 booth (#C3445) will feature a J Hook cabling solution that “makes pulling cables very easy,” according to the company. Here’s a quick Q&A from sister site Commercial Integrator with marketing manager Jason Chesla on their InfoComm recommendations.
Commercial Integrator: If we learn about only one product innovation in the Platinum Tools InfoComm 2018 booth, what should it be?
Jason Chesla: Platinum Tools will be introducing some great new products at InfoComm in 2018. One product we’re very excited about is our High-Performance Hybrid (HPH) J-Hooks. These new J Hooks meet all the required standards (cULus Listed, Plenum Rated, TIA & RoHS Compliant) needed for cable installs in the ISC markets.
The HPH J-Hooks new design highlights a polypropylene over mold which creates slick bur free surface which makes pulling cables very easy. Plus, they include a Snap Lock Retainer which easily secures cables with having to use cable or Velcro ties.
There are 4 sizes (1”, 2”, 3” and 4”) and 11 different hanging hardware accessories available.
CI: Ok….What if we have time to see one more thing?
JC: We have expanded our ezEX-RJ45 connectors to include shielded versions. We have ezEX44 shielded connectors (internal and external ground) for Cat6 cabling and ezEX48 (external ground) for Cat6A cabling.
These new shielded connectors provide cable installers the easiest method of terminating large Cat6 and Cat6A shielded cabling.
CI: What’s one last impression you’d like us to take away from your InfoComm 2018 booth?
JC: We will have a Tester Kit Daily Giveaway. So stop by our booth at the InfoComm 2018 #C3445 and see live demos and all our new and popular products.
More from Platinum Tools on their J Hooks solution:
HPH J-Hooks eliminate the need for cable ties or Velcro straps with their new Snap-Lock technology.
The Snap-Lock is easy to use, snapping in and out of the built-in latch to secure cables. If you use HPH J-Hooks for your cable management solution and find you must add additional cables after the initial installation, then the Snap-Lock easily un-snaps to add cables without fighting with finicky cable ties.
