ODIN Building Automation Systems Announces Launch of New BACnet Certified IoT Software

Service providers and building owners can easily and accurately evaluate an entire building's HVAC system remotely in real time from any IoT device.

Productivity, energy bills, and health and wellness can all be affected by the temperature of a building. Unfortunately, it can be difficult to proactively monitor and manage an HVAC system. Simplifying the task for service providers and building managers is ODIN Building Automation Systems.

The company’s new BACnet certified IoT software was developed to simplify and complement the daily operation and monitoring of any commercial building equipped with BACnet certified equipment.

Erik S. Maseng, CEO of ODIN Building Automation Systems, says that “With ODIN’s secure remote access capabilities and feature’s, service providers and building owners will now have the power of current BACnet technologies to immediately respond to alarm notifications and evaluate an entire building’s HVAC system status in real time via the cloud.”

ODIN’s cloud-based software is always on, and easy to access from any internet connected device from anywhere at any time. This software can also be used to integrate various manufacturer’s BACnet certified products seamlessly and add value to a building’s pre-existing automation system.

Some of the benefits of using this technology, according to ODIN:

  • Cost: Fewer systems to manage, when paired with a centralized operation, means lower material costs and simplified management.  Money can then be devoted to essential systems, as fewer resources will need to be sunk into costly training and operations personnel who’ll need to operate more traditional separate systems.
  • Time: Because these systems can be controlled and monitored from anywhere, it’s becoming easier than ever to operate them in a time-efficient manner and avoid unnecessary delays or travel within and without the building.
  • Intelligence: Real-time insights and extensive analytics available from the cloud allow your building to operate at peak productivity as your management team has the context to be more responsible and react more quickly.
  • Customization: Give executives access to data on energy cost analytics.  In a customizable system with tiered controls, access to certain aspects of the BAS can be delegated to the parties that need them, so that not everyone has to go through the BAS manager.
