Whether it’s the consumer market or commercial A/V, technologies like Ultra HD 4K with HDR, and future technologies like 8K and 120Hz refresh rates loom on the horizon. Stepping up to meet the high-bandwidth demands of the market is the electronics manufacturer Comprehensive Connectivity Company.

Recently the N.J.-based company introduced its new Pro AV/IT HD18G Series of 4K 18G HDMI cables for demanding installation environments, including commercial A/V installs. The release comes as bandwidth is more important than ever in today’s A/V world.

Comprehensive says the Pro AV/IT HD18G Series of HDMI cables are engineered and built to provide reliable performance through state-of-the-art cable designs, and robust construction that is bolstered by UL/CL3 rated flexible matte jackets.

The cables feature heavy duty construction that includes Comprehensive’s ProGrip connector and SureLength indicators right on the connector head for secure connections.

Features and options:

  • ATC certified
  • Ultra HD 4K at 60Hz
  • 4:4:4 chroma subsampling
  • high dynamic range (HDR) support
  • 32 channels of audio
  • ARC
  • 21:9 wide aspect ratios

More from a Comprehensive press release:

Comprehensive’s Pro AV/IT Certified 18Gbps 4K (End to End) HDMI cables are unlike any other cable on the market today as they were created specifically for the demanding needs of systems integration and commercial applications. HD18G series cables feature heavy duty, all commercial construction, Comprehensive’s exclusive ProGrip connector, and SureLength indicators right on the connector head.

In order to support the transmission of Ultra HD 4K over longer lengths, the products utilize active signal technologies to ensure reliability. In addition, the company notes the cables employ reinforced molded strain relief, which it says provide durability.

Backed with lifetime warranties, Comprehensive offers the Pro AV/IT HD18G Series of cables in a range of lengths from three feet to 50 feet.
