CCS Announces ‘Vote Today, Tech Tomorrow’ Back-to-School Contest

2013 Commercial Integrator Integrator of the Year CCS Presentation Systems to build free high-tech classroom for one Arizona school this fall.

Just when your kids were starting to dread a return to the classroom in the next month or so, CCS Presentation Systems teams with manufacturing partners to build and install a free high-tech classroom at one lucky Arizona school.

CCS, which CI named its Integrator of the Year in 2013, kicks off voting for the first Vote Today, Tech Tomorrow back-to-school contest on Aug. 15, with online voting running through Sept. 29. Students, teachers, parents and the community will be able to vote for the school of their choice up to five times a day per device during the length of the promotion. The school which earns the most votes will also earn the ultimate prize.

“These types of efforts align with our commitment to increasing positive community impact,” says CCS CEO John Godbout. “This particular initiative allows CCS to stay focused on making education better for everyone.”

The high-tech classroom to be awarded includes large-format interactive flat panels, video conferencing, 3D printing, collaboration furniture, LED lighting, Chromebooks with charging stations for group work and much more.

Installation of the high-tech classroom will take place mid-October to coincide with fall break, says Godbout. A separate Instagram contest for students offers them a chance to win a pair of wireless Bluetooth headphones.

All Arizona K-12 public, non-profit private or non-profit charter schools that qualify under regulations of the U.S. Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) educational institute are eligible to enter for a chance to win this state-of-the-art classroom. CCS earned CI’s annual honor in 2013 in large part because of its one-of-a-kind model launched by Godbout that has since seen the company expand into several new parts of the U.S., including the Detroit area earlier this year.

CCS also has expanded into residential systems integration, but Godbout has long opposed the practice of using consumer-grade products in commercial installations.
