Creating immersive experiences is the new way businesses and corporations are communicating, educating and engaging their employees and visitors.

Many corporations have created experience centers offering interactive and immersive experiences through technologies such as 4K interactive video walls and LED displays.

Take Cardinal Health, for example, who just recently created an immersive experience center at its headquarters to engage visitors and employees while also communicating the brand’s “Essential to Care” message.

Located in Dublin, Ohio, Cardinal Health headquarters’ new experience center boasts a 15-foot tall, four-sided interactive “Customer Portal” tower, “The Dashboard”, which is a 4K multi-touch video wall, “The Gallery Wall”, which is a 16-panel synchronized video display wall and two transparent LCD product cabinets.

Leaders at Cardinal Health relied on Radiant Technology to integrate the hardware, while Omnivex Movie digital signage software was employed to manage the content.

While the completed project delivered exactly what Cardinal Health leaders envisioned—an experience center that could deliver interactive videos, motion graphics and other engaging content—Radiant Technology was faced with a few challenges along the way when designing and constructing the experience center.

Cardinal Health Experience Center’s 15-foot tall, four-sided interactive “Customer Portal” tower.

Constructing a large, four-sided interactive tower that would “wow” users was a challenge within itself, but perhaps an even bigger challenge was finding a cost-effective solution that would allow Cardinal Health to simply manage the content that was being displayed by the digital signage technologies within the tower, as the content would need to be changed frequently and instantly.

After over a year was spent collaborating with the agencies that created the concepts for customer interaction, Radiant Technology designed the interactive tower solution that involved the creation of a miniature version of the design to allow teams to test the structure and ensure content moved fluidly from panel to panel with just the touch of a finger.

After experimenting with numerous types of content and construction techniques, Radiant developed a solution that would deliver the dynamic interactive experience Cardinal Health envisioned.

Radiant Technology was able to provide Cardinal Health with an easy-to-use digital signage software through its implementation of Omnivex Moxie, a digital signage management tool that gave Cardinal Health with an in-house solution that enabled employees to easily take control and manage the digital content within the Experience Center.

The project took a year-and-a-half to complete and resulted in an eye-catching and immersive experience center in the lobby of Cardinal Health’s headquarters. The new experience center draws important customers and business partners to Dublin, Ohio and communicates Cardinal Health’s “Essential to Care” message in an engaging and memorable way.
