Sonocent announced the release of the fourth version of its Audio Notetaker tool earlier this week.
The Audio Notetaker tool will enable end users to work more efficiently with content in text, audio and visual formatting.
The tool offers three main features to help students with learning difficulties, including:
• Scribe Feature: an automatic speech recognition tool that makes the note taking and transcription processes easier and faster by integrating with Dragon Naturally Speaking.
• Audio Clean Up: gains more clarity from the audio recordings by removing background noise.
• Audio Replace: allows users to annotate over recordings, and then upload those recordings.
Dave Tucker, Director of Sonocent said the Audio Notetaker tool helps students stay geared towards actual learning, rather than memorizing information and reciting it in class.
“The goal of today’s education system should be based on the actual learning that is achieved, rather than just about reading and storing information,” Tucker said in a previous statement. “The latest enhancements to Audio Notetaker offer a broader variety of tools and media to support the individualization of the ways that people work, study and learn.”
