KYOTO, Japan–(BUSINESS WIRE)–In collaboration with an oversea game company, Kyoto City will promote the attraction of Kyoto through an online game “Rogue Company” and implement efforts to create new connections with more than 20 million users around the world. Detail as follows.

1. Purpose

Kyoto City has been actively collaborating with domestic and oversea companies in order to protect, nurture, and carefully pass on the landscape, culture, and traditions of the world’s treasure as well as Japan’s precious assets “Historical City: Kyoto.”

The purpose of the initiative is to connect with Kyoto fans around the world in an unprecedented digitized way in order to revitalize the region and to disseminate the attraction of Kyoto by launching a dedicated Japanese season in Hi-Rez’s popular online game “Rogue Company”.

2 Outline

On August 10, 2021, “Rogue Company” Season 3 “The Kyoto Job”, which was produced in collaboration with Hi-Rez and Kyoto City, will be released in which a new map “Palace: Kyoto City, Japan” is added.

The season 3 was produced as a Japanese season with the image and inspiration of Kyoto. Kyoto City has provided Hi-Rez with information on Kyoto’s historic sites and cultural properties and collaborated to make the Japanese season more fascinating. In addition, after the release of Season 3, Hi-Rez will inform users all over the world of the charm of Kyoto on the official Twitter of “Rogue Company” and cooperate with the efforts to solicit donations to support Kyoto.
