How many technicians does it take to install a 165-inch display? Or perhaps a better question: How long does it take to get the beast securely attached to the wall? Displays of this size are heavy and often cumbersome to install, requiring lots of manpower. SiliconCore Technology hopes to simplify the installation of large LED displays in professional and corporate environments with the launch of its EZ-HD Series. According to the company, the HD displays, which are come in three preconfigured sizes (110, 130 and 165 inches) can be installed by two technicians in under three hours and without needing to use an LED calculator.
The preconfigured displays utilize an easy to assemble frame system, which can be attached to any load bearing wall via standardized brackets, removing the need for complex architectural modifications. The final install is front serviceable, and measures less than 4 inches in depth.
The EZ-HD Series of displays exceed brightness specifications at 1200-1500 nits, making them an ideal solution for spaces with bright ambient lighting.
The EZ-HD Series of displays feature two of SiliconCore’s patented technologies Common Cathode for cooler and fanless operation, which means that as well as emitting less damaging heat, displays maintain consistent brightness across the whole life of the display – over 100,000 hours for the LEDs. Also included in this offering is the proprietary Z.A.C.H technology, which enhances the picture quality for more vibrant color, higher contrast ratios, and the high dynamic range.
Eric Li, CEO, SiliconCore Technology, comments, “We’ve been supplying custom 1 mm pixel pitch displays for over three years to clients across the world. We’ve seen the explosion of collaboration areas, with integrators installing our displays into executive suites, board rooms and high end meeting environments. Our decision to produce a range of preconfigured fixed sized displays that are faster to install, provides an opportunity for integrators to specify a SiliconCore LED display at a previously unavailable price point.”
The displays have the option to receive 10 bit content and connect via a single HD DVI/HDMI input.
