The MuxLab InfoComm 2018 booth (#N538) will focus on HDMI over IP solutions. Here’s a quick Q&A from sister site Commercial Integrator with sales director Pascal Gaudreault on their InfoComm recommendations.

Commercial Integrator: If we learn about only one product innovation in your InfoComm 2018 booth, what should it be?

Pascal Gaudreault: Our 500762 (HDMI over IP H.264/H.265 PoE Extender). It’s not just your ordinary ‘Over IP’ extender. It allows you to make a virtual matrix, video wall, and has Multiview capabilities. Also, it’s a complete streaming box that will take your source and send it over the internet!

CI: Ok….What if we have time to see one more thing?

PG: The 500769 (HDMI 2.0 Digital Signage/Media Player). It’s our first signage player with built in memory and a fully user-friendly CMS software. It’s designed to work in any application from a small to large project and is intuitive and so easy to use.

CI: What’s one last impression you’d like us to take away from your InfoComm 2018 booth?

PG: MuxLab is an engineering based company that has been around for 34 years and we are still pushing the envelope on innovation. Learn more here.

The MuxLab InfoComm 2017 booth demonstrated two AV over IP solutions which covered a scalable method of streaming HDMI video over an Ethernet to enable 24/7 connectivity. More from that press release:

The HDMI over IP H.264/H.265 PoE (500762) sends HDMI up to 100 meters supporting resolutions up to 4K@60Hz using Cat5e/6 cable in a point-to-point configuration. When connected to a local Ethernet network, point-to-multipoint and multipoint-to-multipoint configurations are established in a low bandwidth, expandable and cost effective manner, untethering the system from dedicated cabling.

This transmitter/receiver system has exceptionally low bandwidth requirements, allowing AV streaming around the globe via Ethernet, WiFi or Internet connectivity. The transmitter accepts a 1080p@60Hz input and streams content to the receiver, where the signal is scaled up to 4K@60Hz.
