Yes, InfoComm 2018 is fast-approaching. But Boston area integrators got a close look at Crestron scheduling panels, Crestron Mercury and Crestron DM NVX series of DigitalMedia and more during the Sapphire Marketing Roadshow in Burlington, Mass.
Crestron, along with 14 other exhibitors, demonstrated solutions for 350 registered attendees.
The next stop will be Sapphire Marketing’s 2018 NYC Roadshow, which will take place May 16-17 at Midtown Loft & Terrace in Manhattan, 267 5th Avenue.
Andre Gross, regional manager for enterprise solutions, took time to highlight several Crestron solutions, including scheduling panels, Crestron Mercury and the DM NVX series of DigitalMedia.
Crestron Scheduling Panels
Crestron room scheduling touch screens connect to enterprise calendaring programs, including Microsoft Exchange, Office 365 and G Suite. There’s also a “new direct connection to a lot of different partnerships,” Gross points out, “including everything from Robin to AppSpace to Team and EMS.”
Those partnerships are key, he says, because they “provide a great scheduling platform and now these platforms can be run directly on the new Crestron scheduling touchpanels.”
Crestron Mercury
Most attendees probably know Crestron Mercury or “the first really all-in-one conferencing device,” as Gross calls it. The Sapphire Marketing Roadshow offers a close-up look at features. “What I really like the most is it allows you to connect via Bluetooth to your cell phone,” Gross says.
Crestron representatives talked to attendees a lot about customer-friendly integration features.
“Its open platform allows anyone from any enterprise to bring in their laptop, connect directly to the Mercury and pass through whichever UC platform they are running on their laptop through the Mercury to the front-of-room display,” he says, listing Microsoft Teams, Skype for Business and Zoom Room
Crestron DM NVX DigitalMedia
Sapphire Marketing Roadshow got a rundown of the latest generation of DigitalMedia, the DM NVX Series, which Crestron calls the only secure solution that delivers 4K60, 4:4:4, and HDR over standard 1Gb Ethernet, plus USB 2.0 routing, built-in DSP, and all-in-one encoding/decoding.
