Christie launched its Christie Captiva Series today. The series will expand its 1DLP laser phosphor projector lineup.
The Christie Captiva Series provides 20,000 hours of lampless operation, and can switch from full brightness to standby mode without a cool down period.
The projectors can also be mounted within inches to a screen or wall in portrait or landscape mode without shadows interfering with the image.
The Captiva series features the Captiva DHD400S and ultra-wide Captiva DUW350S.
The Captiva DHD400S provides 16:9 aspect ratio, whereas the Captiva DUW350S provides a wide canvas for tight spaces. A statement by Christie says these projectors are recommended for small, quiet spaces, including classrooms.
“Both models place the projector extremely close to the screen, which means your audience can engage much closer without creating shadows, which disrupt the image,” said Curtis Lingard, product manager, Christie, in a previous statement. “Captiva Series becomes even more engaging for viewers when paired with the Captiva Touch and IR pen interactive options…the high definition provides a beautiful canvas to showcase products, information, or, with the optional Captiva Touch, engage customers by letting them interact with the content.”
