In this episode of the My TechDecisions Podcast, Associate Editor Zachary Comeau welcomes on Chris Perrotti, vice president and chief to staff to CEO at LogMeIn, to talk about how videoconferencing is helping organizations embrace remote work and give employees the flexibility to work from wherever they want.
LogMeIn, which offers its GoToMeeting videoconferencing platform, compiled meeting data that shows a decline in usage from big cities. That suggests employees are leaving big, busy cities like Chicago, Boston, New York City and San Francisco in favor of smaller cities or rural areas.
According to Perrotti, organizations are becoming familiar enough with technology like videoconferencing that they are doubling down on a remote or hybrid work strategy and are thinking differently about where they want their employees to be. This means your organization doesn’t just have to look in the immediate area for top talent, putting you on level playing field with every competitor for that talent.
