S2 Security, a provider of IP-based access control, video management and mobile security management systems, announces the release of the Cloud-based version of its S2 NetBox access control and event monitoring system.

The solution offers both a web interface and S2 Security‘s S2 Magic Monitor unified interface, according to the company.

System features include person record and cardholder management, event and alarm monitoring, threat level escalation and reporting, which are available from any web browser.

No software installation is required and the S2 NetBox Online supports up to 64 portals and seven application blades and can connect to up to 32 S2 Nodes installed at single or distributed sites.

The new system also works with existing card readers. System information is stored in the cloud in data centers which comply with regulatory and audit standards, says the company.

S2 NetBox Online is integrated with the S2 Mobile Security Professional app, which enables staff member to operate the system from a mobile device.

“Through the cloud, we are delivering multiple new solution options and services for S2 system owners,” says CEO John L. Moss. “S2 NetBox Online allows our integrators and end users to benefit from the access control capabilities they expect from S2 NetBox products with the reduced footprint of cloud-based services.”
