Tips for Success
There are many ways to flip your classroom and a variety of tools at your disposal. If you’re really interested in building in collaborative abilities, it’s a good idea to bring in an integrator.
“What we try to do is to understand what the end game of the teacher is. Of course, there’s a budget to meet there too,” says Johnson.
An integrator listens to what the teacher wants to do and then uses their knowledge and experience to design a solution that fits both the needs of the classroom and the budget of the district. Sifting through all of the technological possibilities and finding the right one for the right price is difficult for a school to do on its own.

Once your classroom is ready, use social media as a professional development platform.
“Get on Twitter and connect with other teachers who are flipping,” says Nesloney. “That was a big thing for me getting on there and finding other people using the hashtag #flippedclass. They have a chat every Monday evening and it’s great to learn from other’s successes and mistakes.”
Remember, there is no one right way to flip. You have to do whatever is right for your classroom, your students and your budget.
