HP has announced new solutions for IT professionals to simplify and automate device management tasks, including a new managed service, endpoint management solutions and more.
The announcement included a new managed service for IT called HP Adaptive Endpoint Management, a manageability solution for IT called HP Connect for Microsoft Endpoint Manager and HP Cloud Endpoint Manager.
According to HP, the new solutions and services are designed to help IT teams meet the demands of changing workforce environments while boosting productivity and improving the employee experience.
In the announcement of the new products, HP cited a survey that found 87% of companies include employee experience in their IT performance goals, but companies don’t have the resources to cover the increased challenges created by remote work environments.
The company says HP Adaptive Endpoint Manager is a fully managed service that helps IT managers send PCs directly to employees with zero-touch deployment, and it takes less than an hour for employees to get to work after unboxing their Windows PC and signing on with one click, according to HP.
This frees IT from day-to-day PC management and automatically provisions PCs with Microsoft Autopilot to enforce security policies from the cloud. IT can also support legacy applications via the cloud, HP says.
For IT who want to manage the BIOS using the cloud, HP announced HP Connect for Microsoft Endpoint Manager to free up IT resources by making it easier to remotely configure, secure and update the BIOS of HP commercial PCs.
According to HP, this allows IT to create new policies for groups of devices customizing over 100 different HP BIOS settings and systematically push the desired settings to the correct devices during their initial setup, and change settings remotely as needed via the cloud.
The company calls HP Cloud Endpoint Manager a cloud-ready solution for IT designed to help deploy and securely manage thousands of HP Thin Clients through a modern interface that’s accessible from any location with a web browser.
The customizable dashboard includes metrics and analytics to keep IT up to date on deployments, device compliance and server health, and it also includes real-time alerts to identify and resolve issues quickly.
HP Adaptive Endpoint Management is available now, HP Cloud Endpoint Manager is expected to be available for download in January, and HP Connect for Microsoft Endpoint Manager is expected to be available in December.
