Sun Valley Lighting Introduces Mission Revival Bell for High-Efficient Area Lighting

May 24, 2022 TechDecisions Staff

New Luminaire personifies the Mission Revival architectural style merged with the latest LED technology and controls

PALMDALE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Sun Valley Lighting, a leading American brand of traditional area and street lighting from U.S. Pole Company, introduces its Mission Revival Bell luminaire that embodies the Mission Revival architectural style with the latest LED technology and the unsurpassed PLED engineered lighting control for area lighting. Mission Revival Bell is designed to offer simple, solid and austere architectural elements for downtown main streets, historical districts, Spanish styling planned developments, commercial campuses and live-work-play communities.

Featuring a PLED high value optical system with field replaceable and field rotatable optics for flexible long-term performance and a dark sky friendly BUG rating of U0, Mission Revival Bell is available in two luminaire sizes (MRL20 and MRL25), 10 PLED distribution types, seven mounting configurations and seven finishes. The luminaire is available with a variety of high-power white LEDs driven between 350mA and 1050mA. The LEDs are offered in warm white (2700K and 3000K), standard neutral white (4000K) and cool white (5000K). All standard LEDs have a minimum of 70 CRI. In addition, its TRA-True Amber LED emits light in the amber spectral bandwidth centered on 585-590nm. The True Amber variety has negligible blue light and is suitable for wildlife.

The MRL25 PLED system can be configured for up to 220 watts, providing up to 25,000 lumens to meet parking lighting demands. Its 10 photometric distributions and house-side shielding provides application flexibility for every application requirement.

In addition, Sun Valley is offering new XMI arms for its Mission Revival Bell luminaire, which has the mission style shaped parapet lines and the XCR that includes the arch curvature to complement the existing XPH with a shepherd’s crook to accentuate the look of the Mission Revival structures. New finishes were added for Mission Revival Bell including premium finish colors, rust and patina copper.

Mission Revival Bell uses constant current electronic LED drivers with power factors of >0.90 that deliver less than 10% THD and a minimum operating temperature of -40°F/-40°C. The drivers are UL and cUL listed and accept an input of 120-277V, 50/60Hz or 347V-480V, 50/60Hz. A 0-10V dimmable driver is standard and has a minimum of 3KV internal surge protection.
